About the Band

Generation Exit is a melodic street punk band hailing from Austin, Texas, featuring members of Born to Lose, Riddlin' Kids, and Sniper 66.

The band formed in 2022 in Austin.

Generation Exit's sound has been described by press as a mix of Rancid, Hot Water Music, and Social Distortion.

The band has self-released music under its own Generation Exit Records imprint, with European distribution and vinyl pressing partners including Ring of Fire Records, Broken Silence, 31 Records, and State Line Records.

Currently in the studio recording their second full-length album (third release overall), Early Birds and After Hours, and set to return to Europe in October 2026.

Lifer (LP) released

Debut album released on vinyl (US), self-released via Generation Exit Records.

February 23–26, 2024

European release & digital release

Lifer released across Europe via Ring of Fire Records / Broken Silence; digital release follows Feb 26.

Stay Alive! era

"Stay Alive!" and "Down & Out" singles released, followed by the "Stay Alive!" split EP with Mark Lind & The Unloved on limited 12" vinyl.

Born to Lose

Austin street/pub-punk band formed in 2000, known for beer-soaked, sing-along anthems. Members include Chris Klinck (vocals), Ben Ballard (guitar/vocals), and Dustin Stroud, who toured with the band.

Riddlin' Kids

American pop-punk band from Austin, TX. Members included Clint Baker, Dustin Stroud, Mark Johnson, and Dave Keel.

Nowherebound

Austin punk/rock'n'roll band formed in 2010, blending traditional punk with country and Celtic-folk grit. Clint Baker (bass) and Chris Klinck (vocals) toured Europe together several times as members.

Threes Away

Austin punk rock band spanning pop-punk to hardcore; members have also played in Born to Lose, Sixer, The Independents, and Riverboat Gamblers. Ben Ballard & April currently play together here.
